Celebrating Tongan Graduation

Malo e lelei,

Part of the Pirate code is to honor our families for all the support the give us, especially when we graduate.!!!

Last week there was a Whitireia Graduation Ceremony held in Tonga.
Below is an email and pictures sent from one of the students:

Hi All,
I want to thank you all for all your help. :)
Words may not be enough but may God bless you all.
Here are some photos of the day, it was so exciting and all was beautiful.
Malo 'aupito,

Lu'isa.

We would like to congratulate all Whitireia graduates, and wish them well for their future careers.

More tips from Pirate Pete

From Talk like a pirate day

From Public Domain Vectors

Ahoy me hearties,
International talk like a pirate day is this weekend, something that librarians around the world like to get involved in.
You can find out more about it here.

Part of the pirate code is being able to sing, hopefully better than my singing pirate parrot here.
It might help if the words rhyme, so take a leaf out of the pirate bird's book and get ye a rhyming dictionary. And better yet, it's FREE from the library!

Try looking in the language section of the library under this secret pirate code: 423 RAN or in the music section under this secret pirate code 782.42 JAC

And remember to ask at the library desk if you need help finding them.

See you next time, me hearties.
